Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a highly prevalent, complex and underdiagnosed
disease. Progressive deterioration and unfavorable outcomes are expected if the disease
is not adequately recognized and treated. It is believed that echocardiography could
provide more information on the prognosis of the disease considering other morphological
and biventricular function variables.
